Deirdre Freiheit, President & Chief Executive Officer
As President & CEO of Shepherds of Good Hope (SGH), Deirdre leads a dynamic, innovative organization that serves the needs of many of the most vulnerable adult men and women who are homeless and/or vulnerably housed in the City of Ottawa. Deirdre has been involved in the not-for-profit charitable health sector for over two decades. Prior to joining SGH, she was Executive Director of the Health Charities Coalition of Canada (HCCC), where she led advocacy initiatives related to health research and health policy, facilitated networking opportunities for CEOs and senior employees and represented the coalition at all levels of corporate, government and private sector engagements. Deirdre has been a guest speaker at numerous meetings, events and conferences at the local, provincial, national and international levels. Prior to HCCC, Deirdre spent ten years at the Canadian Lung Association where she held a variety of management positions that led to her tenure as President and CEO.
Deirdre is recognized as a leader in the charitable sector. She is a member of the Board of Directors of Ottawa Inner City Health and the Alliance to End Homelessness. She frequently speaks to organizations, Boards of Directors, governments and groups and is a strong advocate for those less fortunate. She is a passionate promoter of the impact of charities’ contributions to communities and the crucial role they play in the fabric of our society.

Rob Searle, Chief Financial Officer
Rob is a certified general accountant and our Director of Finance. He has more than 30 years of experience in financial/operational analysis, business acquisitions and systems implementation. His expertise has been extremely helpful in the new acquisitions that Shepherds of Good Hope has made.

Stephen Bartolo, Director of Operations
Stephen has been with the organization since 2002. He is the Director of Operations and oversees all programming at Shepherds of Good Hope. Stephen has been instrumental in creating/expanding our managed alcohol programs (including The Oaks) as well as our transitional emergency shelter program.

Lindy Rosko, Senior Manager Supportive Living
Lindy has been with the organization since 2008. She has experience working in both the shelter and supportive living based programs in the organization. She is the Senior Manager overseeing all of our supportive living programs such as: 208 St. Andrew Residence, Hope Living, Brigid’s Place Housing for Women and The Oaks.
Caroline Cox, Senior Manager Transitional Shelter Services
Caroline Cox has been with the organization since 2007. While completing her studies in social work, she was a front-line staff and case manager in the women’s shelter programs. She has been a manager in multiple supportive living and shelter programs at Shepherds. Presently, she is Senior Manager responsible for Transitional Shelter Services, which includes the women’s and men’s emergency shelters and specialized programs.

Keith Lau, Senior Manager, Client Services and Social Enterprise
Keith joined Shepherds of Good Hope in 2007. During his career, Keith has worked in a number of management positions with emergency shelters. He also has extensive experience with data coordination and case management. As a Senior Manager, Keith is responsible in case management services, social enterprise and data analysis.

Pamela LeMaistre, Director of Human Resources
Pamela joined Shepherds of Good Hope in 2016 as Director of Human Resources. As a Certified Human Resources Leader (CHRL), she has over 20 years of experience in human resources, labour relations and organizational development in the broader public sector.
Prior to joining Shepherds of Good Hope, Pamela held a variety of human resources management positions in municipal government, the Liquor Control Board of Ontario and Canadian Nuclear Laboratories.

Jamie Hackett, Senior Manager, Facilities and Procurement
Jamie joined Shepherds of Good Hope in 2016 as Sr. Manager Facilities and Procurement. He brings to the job 20 years of senior management experience in the private sector having worked with both national and international companies in manufacturing, sales, operations and facilities. In addition, Jamie also have 10 years of entrepreneurship experience. Jamie has a diploma from Algonquin College in Business Administration and holds 2 patents in Canada and the USA. Before joining Shepherds of Good Hope Jamie has worked for; OZ Optics Ltd., FreeLink Wireless Inc., Engineered Ceramic Products and Insulated Coating Corporation.
