Rick’s Tuck Shop

Another social enterprise located in the Bronson Centre is Rick’s Tuck Shop, which is operated by participants of Good Day Workshop. The name, Rick, was chosen in memory of a former participant of Good Day Workshop. The tuck shop services all of the not-for-profits in the Centre with pop, coffee, chocolate bars and other delights.

Although the money raised from this enterprise is important to the financial viability of the tuck shop, preparing people with the skills required to secure employment and experiencing a stable work environment are the principle goals.

The participants learn about commerce through the selling of goods, stocking of items and the keeping of inventory and they work on social skills through the customer service, all while in a safe, friendly atmosphere.
